Genre 1) What example is provided of why visual iconographies are so important? An example of this is James Bond as the franchise and character has visual iconographies that people are able to recognise and associate it back to the movie. An example of this is James Bond wearing suit and tie and the Aston Martin and gadgets that he uses in order to achieve his mission which is what the movie is based on. 2) What examples are provided of the importance of narrative in identifying genre? In each genre there are things that are synonymous with the genre and if people were to see it, it would make them understand what type of genre the movie falls under in. For example, if people were to see images of creepy monsters or objects, they would link this to horror and also things such as dark colours like red and black and props such as knives, chainsaws and machetes.
